Will joined Dowgate Wealth in August 2022 as Head of Distribution to help clients access the tailored solutions of the Dowgate investment teams.
In his youth, Will preferred the sports pitches over the classroom and was Captain of Rugby 1st XV and Captain of Tennis 1st VI at school as well as representing Wiltshire U18 Tennis and South & South-West of England Schools Rugby.
He graduated from Queen Mary University of London with a degree in Mathematics, Statistics & Business Economics before embarking on a career in the City.
Will spent almost 25 years at Schroders, initially recruited onto the UK broker dealing desk in 1994, swiftly being promoted to senior dealer and then manager of the team.
He transferred to a global role in 1999, working with the CIO on product governance, analysis and communicating sales strategies with Schroders expanding global office network across Europe, Latin America and Asia. In 2004 he was given direct responsibility for building a Middle East wholesale business before being seconded to Dubai where he opened, then led, a dynamic multi-cultural office for a decade.
It was in Dubai he first came across one of the fastest growing sports in the world “Padel”. He has won numerous LTA Padel tournaments across the UK on the Seniors tour and in 2022 Will was selected to represent Great Britain to qualify for and then play at the Seniors World Padel Championships in Las Vegas.
As well as Padel, Will loves skiing, golf and bridge, but most of all spending time with his wife, two daughters and their two rescue dachshunds.
